Two More Suspects Linked to Ganemulle Sanjeewa Murder, Arrested

COLOMBO (News  1st) ; 2 more suspects linked to the murder of organized criminal Ganemulle Sanjeewa have been arrested, by a team of officers of the Colombo Crimes Division. 

The arrested individuals include a man who provided the gun used for the shooting to the main female suspect and another man who was found had the van that the shooter used to escape.

The police stated that the firearm and the main suspect, along with his female accomplice, had been taken to a hideout in Kaduwela.

The suspect linked to the vehicle used to escape the scene is reportedly a deserter from the army.

He had confessed that the van belonged to someone living overseas.

So far, a total of 5 suspects, 4 male and 1 female, have been arrested in connection with the murder.

Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatna alias Ganemulle Sanjeewa, an organized criminal, was shot on the 19th of February at the Hulftsdorp court complex, and he later succumbed to his injuries.
