Public Safety Committees To Be Implemented Islandwide

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The circular regarding the implementation of Public Safety Committees is scheduled to be issued tomorrow in line with the Clean Sri Lanka program.

These committees will be established across all Grama Niladhari divisions.

Each committee will comprise members of the youth community, retired military officers, police officers and also female representatives.

The initiative aims to address 10 key areas, including the eradication of the drug menace, and the prevention of crime and illegal activities.
