Minister Pledges Action Against Corruption

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Ananda Wijepala stressed that the government will take strong, continuous action against corruption, fraud, and financial mismanagement.

He emphasized that while politicians do not directly interfere in legal matters, the government has sent a clear message that anyone found guilty of offences such as fraud, corruption, or misappropriation of public funds will be held accountable.

The minister noted that this commitment goes beyond policy and reflects the government’s determination to eliminate bribery and corruption.
