Middeniya Triple Homicide: 13th Suspect Nabbed

COLOMBO (News 1st); Another suspect allegedly involved in the Middeniya triple homicide has been arrested by detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department.

The suspect was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport as he was attempting to flee to Dubai.

The suspect was identified as a 23-year-old resident of Angulandeniya, Katuwana.

According to the Police, the suspect was arrested for aiding and abetting the murder.

The total number of suspects arrested in connection to the triple homicide so far is 13.

Further investigations on the matter are carried out by officials of the Middeniya Police and the Crimes Investigation Bureau, Tangalle.

Aruna Vidanagamage, also known as Meegas-Are' Kajja, a controversial figure in the south of Sri Lanka, was targeted by armed gunmen on 18th February.

He was shot dead along with his six-year-old daughter, and nine-year-old son.
